Within hours, the police had a suspect in custody, and the next day the suspect was murdered by Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner. Beyond that, not many other facts about the assassination of President Kennedy are clear. In spite of, or maybe because of, two federal government investigations and one New Orleans conspiracy-to-commit-murder trial, there is still much controversy about the evidence, and much evidence about a cover-up of the evidence.
